Re: is the update safe?
All I know is if I could go back and undo the update, root, then update with the root intact, I would... Otherwise, yes the OTA update is now completely safe... but at least use unrevoked's root...

Re: is the update safe?
Unrevoked issued a new patch, with the OTA made safe, about an hour or so back. It's only for those of us who knew not to do the original OTA.......

Re: is the update safe?
I think it can take quite a while, with several reboots. Any update? Does wifi tether still work? How about paid apps, etc?

Re: is the update safe?
No issues here, then again I haven't rooted or felt the need to, I do see a great improvement in reboot times....before it was horribly slow, now it is almost instant

Re: is the update safe?
The only issues I had with the udpate was several apps/widgets didn't load on my home screens after it rebooted. I just removed them and put them back. All apps I have work and all is fine.
