is the update safe?

My phone has come 2 times for the update but i keep hitting cancel, i have read that the update was pulled due to issues. I know that if the phone is rooted it will unroot it.

I have stock phone so anyone try the update yet? and i know if it gets stuck on the boot screen just leave it and let it do its thing.

All I know is if I could go back and undo the update, root, then update with the root intact, I would... Otherwise, yes the OTA update is now completely safe... but at least use unrevoked's root...

Unrevoked issued a new patch, with the OTA made safe, about an hour or so back. It's only for those of us who knew not to do the original OTA.......

I think it can take quite a while, with several reboots. Any update? Does wifi tether still work? How about paid apps, etc?

No issues here, then again I haven't rooted or felt the need to, I do see a great improvement in reboot times....before it was horribly slow, now it is almost instant

The only issues I had with the udpate was several apps/widgets didn't load on my home screens after it rebooted. I just removed them and put them back. All apps I have work and all is fine.
