both toast and the unrevoked method can be rooted after the OTA update.

Uh, a rooted phone without a rooted ROM will behave that way, but installing the proper rooted ROM works just fine.

Am running the rooted stock OTA update ROM from flipz just fine!

Goodthings...big follower of yours on my TP2...if I have read correctly you rooted with the toast method and then installed flipz stock rom..2 questions for you..will you be setting up any threads for tweaks and with the rooted stock, what will you need to do on future ota updates? Thanks

I haven't decided yet. My real work has kept me extremely busy lately, so I haven't had the time to commit to extra projects (hence my vanishing from the TP2 project in recent months. ) I won't rule out the possibility, but don't get your hopes up.

Not legally, and don't be a cheapskate! There are plenty of quality free apps available that you can generally avoid paying fees, so don't cheat the authors that produce quality work and charge a modest fee for it.

I am in the same position here. I mainly want to root but if this causes problems with the stock version this is what keeps me from doing so. It's almost there but I don't think I am ready to take the dive just yet. Think I will remain in the learning phase for now.
