Because this phone, along with many other smart phones, are always compared to the iPhone, which sees more praise than anything despite all of its shortcomings. Also, the person who is posting the complaint usually has something about the iPhone doing this and that better in their post. :-p

Lol. Cause we despise it. Its ability to be so simplistic that a 5 year old can use it that its more likely someone who is whining about a simple issue with a more advanced phone probably would be better off with something that a whining 5 year old would play with.

A single tear dropped wen i read this lol. Yea thats how i feel, The Evo has its flaws but i can say this is the best device ive ever owned an trust me wen i say I HAV BEEN THRU ALOT OF PHONES, all major carriers an Unlocked ones, most recent my EX the TP2 which WAS my favorite lol. anyway I am very pleased..jus waitin on my extra battery an ill be good .....an wen I finally get 4g service ill be great

The Evo is a phone of epic proportions, the likes of which have never graced our hands before...

OK cheesy poetry aside, this phone is awesome. People can complain all they want, but show me a better phone. As of right now the Evo is at the top of the food chain (in my humble opinion of course). The minor quirks people are griping about are mostly software related and will be ironed out as both the phone and the OS (which is also a baby) age. I'm sure there will be many updates and improvements as time progresses. I for one have NO complaints about this phone as it does everything I want it to do very well and very fast. It's quite simply the sexiest communication device I've ever had the privilege of owning. Just be patient and give HTC and Google time to iron out the wrinkles.

I myself am having the screen separation issue and as long as Sprint does right by me(got my service ticket), this is so far the best phone I have ever owned.
