Re: Battery Life After Official Froyo OTA Update on 8/2

Yeah, on the awake and up times I'm aware that they shouldn't be the same which is why I listed them. What I don't understand is why all of the sudden they are doing this, as they weren't running in tandem before the update. My guess is that I've got some program installed that isn't playing nicely with some new code in the Froyo base? The question is how to find out which? Regarding the suggestion about Google Talk, I'm not running that, or at least I wasn't prior to this update. Thanks for the suggestions, keep 'em coming, I still have my doubts that I'm the only one affected given how radical of a change it was.

Do you have LED Light installed? It is not compatible with froyo and will run continuously.

Re: Battery Life After Official Froyo OTA Update on 8/2

Aha!!! The Iceman cometh and saved my day! I did indeed have the application he mentioned directly above installed, and once I uninstalled it and waited a few minutes and checked my uptime and awake time they were starting to diverge. I think that will do the trick. Thanks again Iceman5000.

Re: Battery Life After Official Froyo OTA Update on 8/2

My guess is its something with froyo and some apps.. or widgets. I'm wondering is the culprit launcher pro for me because im having the same issue.. and had it with the leak too. I fixed it with the leaked version but after doing this update its right back to the same thing. What's the easiest way to tell whats keeping the phone awake?

Re: Battery Life After Official Froyo OTA Update on 8/2

I had the same issue. The awake and uptime values were the same, and my battery was draining quickly. I went ahead and uninstalled a bunch of apps that I didn't like or stopped using and the issue seems to have gone away. The values are different now.

I wouldn't claim it has a better battery unless you go through a normal usage with it.
I ran the earlier leaked rom and my battery life was amazing on that too. Gonna wait for OMJ to create a custom rom before flashing again but I think froyo is doing something to preserve battery life. Idle battery life pretty much doubled for me after upgrading to froyo.

When I get home ill probably just hard reset and do some 1 by 1 app adding to see if I can tell what it is.

Re: Battery Life is a beast on Netarchy rooted froyo

I think Sprint may have addressed the issue with the immediate drop to 90%. I too noticed that even on the rooted pre-release my phone gradually declined to 90% instead of the typical instant drop to 90%.
