I think we all get that facebook ring tone, I have it too but my phone sleeps so that should not be the problem. Have you gone in to applications\talk\settings and disabled auto login and then logged out yet? That seems to be always trying to do something even though I never used it. Also, go in to settings\applications\running services\ and stop the talk app. You will have to stop the service everytime you reboot because it will automatically start every time you reboot. Hope that helps.

That's really wierd, I have videos (no ebooks) and I have left my thumb nail file and I have never had a problem with my media process. I have media on this thing from like 4 or 5 phones ago, I just keep copying my sd card over from one phone to the next. Strange. I'm glad it's better for you now. I have finally come to the conclusion that I just use my phone way too much, that's probably all that is wrong with my battery. I am going to probably buy the seido 3500 extended battery and call it a day. |

Re: I finally got my evo to sleep.
i use an app called "gentle alarm" which has a setting for preventing Deep Sleep. disabling this feature allowed my device to sleep again. not sure if you guys run the same alarm app, but its something to look for. while you are thinkin about the issue, think about what apps you having running constantly that may have a similar feature.
