Re: Help please - Looping at HTC EVO 4G boot screen
I've downloaded the stock ROM and pulled out the rom.zip file. Would it help to (somehow) get this on my SD and let it flash?

Re: Help please - Looping at HTC EVO 4G boot screen
Problem solved. I renamed the stock rom.zip to PC36IMG.zip and let it flash as with root.
Now the problem I have is that I formatted my SD card through my TP before adding the file and now it says it isn't installed. Any tips for that? |

Re: Help please - Looping at HTC EVO 4G boot screen
Okay, so I flashed the stock ROM through my SD and ran the root update through my SD, but the phone keeps telling me it has been removed.
Now when I plug the phone into my PC, it's asking me for "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" driver. |

I had this same problem..... none on here could help. All I can tell you to try is to flash the stock rom from your computer by running the ruu. If u get an error message than u are in the same predicament I was in. I brought it back and got a new one.

Thanks mrpigg. I was sent this from a friend trying to help:

Re: Help please - Looping at HTC EVO 4G boot screen
sounds like you forgot to wipe before you flashed. always wipe/factory restore, wipe cache, and wipe dalvix cache before flashing. wipe and reflash stock or custom rom...also, the htc sync information as well as a couple other things were stored on the original memory card, your phone will rebuild the folders but not the sync. if you formatted you deleted them. oops! I will look and see if i can copy in what you need...

Re: Help please - Looping at HTC EVO 4G boot screen
Sprintgirl, I downloaded the Sync from HTC and all the folders I wanted to keep (some data, photos, etc.) I saved before formatting.
I have recovered my SD card but I haven't gotten to the USB restore yet. Now I have to power off my phone to charge it but I'll take care of it tonight. That link I added was spot on for me. |
