Windows mobile is trash. I hated it. Android all the way!

Re: Will Windows Mobile be avaliable for the EVO

Why is this thread so long? And why would you even want WM?

Re: Will Windows Mobile be avaliable for the EVO

I agree!!! I use Windows apps empahtically... What app is out there that allows one to access WInMo (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc) and then make and save changes as does Windows does on the TP2 etc.

Let me clarify something for you. Android isn't THAT great. How would I know? I have an EVO. I've spent the better portion of two days tweaking/playing with it. I've encountered NUMEROUS issues that make me yearn for WM. Ya know, minor things like power management so the battery doesn't die in 5 hrs. Or the ability to modify folders/files on my SD card. Silly little stuff that doesn't matter to anyone in the real world (there's some sarcasm for ya).

I came from a TP2 and while Android is much much more polished in terms of eye candy, it's still got a ways to go. I was really excited about this phone. Atleast I can have wobbly boobs as my desktop background....

If a fully functional WM6.5.X port came out for this phone, it would be epic. I could charge the phone once a day instead of 2-3 times and use RDP without having to pay extra for someone's app. But alas, it won't happen.
You seem to know quite a bit about being a fanboy!

Re: Will Windows Mobile be avaliable for the EVO

Bought the wife an EVO opening morning thinking I couldn't keep my hands off. To my surprise, once and I was over it. LOVE the screen and speed!, but just reminded me of my old touch pro on SPB Shell and steroids (for what it's worth). Probably has to do with the indecision of WM7 and Android, coupled with I'd rather work on my phone than use it (why have a porsche when you can work on your chevy? LOL) Guess I'll always be a redneck at heart, even in the techno world.
