Re: cant upload to youtube unless on wifi?

I can understand not being able to upload using 3G but you should absolutely be able to upload YouTube videos of 4G.

Re: cant upload to youtube unless on wifi?

That is bunk though, have you pay an extra 10$ for 4g and yet disable uploading video's using 3g or 4g. Not bad enough to keep me from getting an Evo here in about a week and a half when I'm due for an upgrade though. I'm sure somewhere there is a way though.

Re: cant upload to youtube unless on wifi?

I don't think your grasping what I was saying. Your on a node...a node is shared with a lot of other users...you upload a 20mb file...your eating up a lot of bandwidth that others could be using...basically you would be hoggin the bandwidth like Torrent downloaders do.... The 3G/4G network is only so big...and can only hold so many connections at a time...so now do you understand what I'm saying? Yes you should be able to upload videos over your connection...but Sprint ain't gonna let you. If you feel the $10 charge for Premium Data is not right...then by all means call up Sprint and tell them how you feel....or post your comment in the $10 fee Forum....

It's $10 freakin dollars for god sakes...95% of us spend that everyday on something...

Yes I do, I think its funny I have to find an alternate way to use the data, I am on the road all the time and dont have access to wifi all the time, hotspots are a pita, and thats why i pay for the wifi access as well.

Again I am on a node yes, but I pay for unlimited data on the phone, and on up to what is it 8 devices, so i dont see why you all got your panties in a bunch on how much data someone uses, I am almost willing to bet you use more data then I use in a month, so a few 20 mb videos to upload on occasion is nothing, but would like to do it when I need to.

I use nowhere near what you think I use on my connection. You do relize I'm still using a Touch Pro 2...which is 3G...and is uterly slow at that. There is a huge difference is speed from the TP2 to the Evo...just from using the Evo I know that. I only check my email and once and awhile chat with a friend on MSN Messenger. So no...I'm betting your using more than me.

I understand you pay for unlimited data on your plan....but your still not grasping what I'm saying for the 3rd time. Yes you have Unlimited..thats great...be all that you can be....But do you really think pegging the tower for 30-40min at full bandwidth uploading a video is fair for all the others on that same tower? Your not grasping the fact it's a "shared" connection...so when your uploading your video...persay they allowed it....you would be eating up 75 to 80% of the bandwidth...leaveing nothing for everyone else.

All that unlimited data means is that you don't have to worry about overages...it doesn't mean you can download/upload at will with huge files...you can even call Sprint and ask them about what your trying to do...they will probably tell you the same damn thing. So no, My boxers arn't in a bunch.

I would leave it alone at this point I dont think people understand your point.... I do but some people just cant get pass the $10. Even with that fee its still less than other providers but if they were to let you upload 20 megs or so we would only have a forum on why is my internet connection so slow. Why can't I do this or that blah blah blah....... Hey I hear people complain about Sprint but my connections have been great I just tested 4g and its fast and I have tried to upload to youtube and since it dont work I just do this....wait for it guys..... use the email address they gave me at youtube and send it up that way..... Uh oh sounds like a solution....try it guys...

Re: cant upload to youtube unless on wifi?

AOL tops out at around 14 mb, and im sure most other email services are around the same, so email wouldn't work for the op.
