Slow *3G* data speeds FIXED! with speedtest results - Page 2

my 3g data has been slightly faster in area compared to my tp2. on the speedtest I've been getting .7 to 1.9mb depending on location in the city. 1.9 is slightly faster than any test I performed on the tp2.

I was getting horrible 3G speeds where I live in Santa Monica, CA. I woke up this morning at 4am, grabbed my phone and ran a speed test. It came up 1 meg down, 500K up. Much Much faster. I just think the network is overwhelmed in some areas.. like mine.

Hmmm.... think really strange as you think Sprint would have nailed 3g on the Evo.. Wish I could have bought one right now so I could tweak with it along with you guys.

Very nice! That is what I am talking about. Thing is on my TP2 I do the same speed test in the same area at the same time and it returns about 1mb or higher download speed.

Speedtests on my EVO's 3G dont' look that great, but actual browsing appears to be faster than the speed tests would indicate. Also may want to see about updating PRL and see if that changes anything. You can also tell it to reinitialize your 3g connection.

Thats sort of what I thought too. General web browsing seems to be loading at a decent pace, however fring video conferencing craps out often.

Here in Florida I'm getting 2.31Mbps/0.72Mbps according to Speed Test App.

The speed is quadrupled when using my Wi-Fi connection.

i have the same problem, 3g speeds sucks really bad with the evo here in philla, pa. NOt sure what is going on, my wife's TP2 and my previous tp2 always has over 1Mbps download, my evo barely makes it to 0.6-0.8mbps. What is going on here?? (i would not be surprised of sprint is throttling 3g on the EVOs...
