Re: Why do I feel like an idiot trying to hack my new EVO 4G?
Install or re-install HTC_Synch. Then remove the HTC_Synch using Windows Uninstaller. Be sure to leave the Driver installer.
Make sure your phone is set to USB debugging under Setting\Application. Plug the USB cable into the computer. Set the phone to Charge Only and try again. |

Hey Karl? Is this method an easier way to do the same thing as this... [ROOT][GUIDE] HBoot 2.02/2.10 SOFF - Lets Get Small Edition - Upd. 12.30.10 - xda-developers I have version 0004 with hboot 2.02. I can probably do the one from xda, but would rather take the easier of the two. |

You are suppose to use the hboot usb drivers provided by unrevoked, did you install them?? Secondly, htc synch has to be uninstalled from your computer. Third, when you connect your phone to the computer you need to select charge only and make sure it says usb debugging is enabled.

UnROOT.
Probably a /Tard question...can I UNROOT? I am giving my phone to someone else and I'd like them to have the default phone. Can it be done? TIA!
