For now I'm just running the rooted version of stock 1.47....I thought saw that theres a way to manually remove the bloatware as long as youre fully rooted?? If not, I gotta take a break from the all this flashing/hacking/moding of my Evo for a few days...or maybe a few weeks!! LOL...I gotta catch up on alot of missed sleep! |

Re: Root new OTA with 4 clicks!
Follow these specifically
Make sure your phone is connected as "Charge Only" and "Debugging" is on. Press the Step 1 button on the widows interface. Wait for everything to happen and read the instructions in the Command Prompt Window. Ready for Step 2 make sure the phone is in "Charge Only" and "Debugging" is still on, press the Step 2 button. Follow the instructions in the Command Prompt Window. Ready for Step 3 , make sure you go to the Flash Site on the EVO, (not on your computer), once you are on the site give it a few seconds to load fully, (then press the refresh button on the EVO address bar), allow the site a few seconds to refresh and load. I just left the site open and followed the Command Prompt instructions. Ready for Step 4 hit the Step 4 button and wait for the , follow the instructions in the Command Prompt window (if you are having issues repeat steps over and be sure that step 2 and 3 are done correctly) |

Re: Root new OTA with 4 clicks!
Step 0 (Backup all apps / data)
Step 1 (about 5 minutes including the reset, seemed to hang but then went through) Step 2 (about 1 minute could not start daemon, retried successfully) Step 3 (about 5 mins (website is case sensitive) Step 4 (about 10 minutes as it runs the load) Step 5 (about 10 minutes restore all apps ( i used Astro File Manager Backup) Step 6 run wifi tether .. had to reboot and reinstall WiFi Tehter... but now it is working great again !!! Step 7 Thank the guys at XDA for this one.... Step 8 say it again today.. I am never going back to WinMo, this EVO ROCKS !!!

Re: EVO Full Root No PC or ADB|Recovery|Nand Backup/Restore|Flashing| for n00b's + Vi
First thank you! I tried to hit the thanks button but it would not do anything. Does this process do Nand also. I had done the OTA and followed step 5. I do have root and checked in SU and got a #.

Technically 5R starts the process to unlock Nand. Never seen the Thanks button not work but just find ANY of Fasts posts and slap that button. Last edited by iknowsquat; 07-12-2010 at 07:16 PM. |

Re: Root new OTA with 4 clicks!
any problems with 4g after using this method? i remember seeing one person mention it on xda, but don't know if that was just coincidence. Or anything else this might break? Bout to root, so just want to make sure. thanks.
