battery = horrible less than 4 hours standby

fully charged on standby I got less than 4 hours with a 10 minute call in between

23% cell standby
23% blueetooth
20% phone idle
17% android
12% voice calls
5% display

bluetooth on
wifi off
hotspot off
4g on
mobile network on

what about gps?

watching a review they said it comes automatically on,when turned off it increased life a bit.

location services are on as far as I know

gps was on, i turned it off but left use wireless networks.

going to charge it back up and try it then

4g eats the crap out of the battery. That has been in pretty much every review but less than 4 hours seems pretty bad. One review got 3.5hours on a 50% battery using 4g and the Hotspot continuously. WHy leave bluetooth on? Headset?

Yea i agree 4 hours is bad.This is the first time ive had a full battery on my evo so lets see how it goes.

The 2 most battery draining widgets were left on ( bluetooth and 4G )? No wonder. you probably still have the friend stream on htc sense on, that downloads tweets and status updates from facebook constantly or every 30 mins, 1 hour or what not.

Take the Friendstream off. Its worthless if you care for your battery. ATK app is veryyyyyy useful. When my device boot up it kills off 20 app. Now why is it 20 things running on a boot-up?

yeap i have always left bluetooth on for headset. never an issue with my tp2 still got a day or more out of standby.

should have given a 2gb card with the evo and thrown in a spare battery. though I am not sure about the red color.

this thing needs a 3000mAh battery to last a day if lucky.

i'm trying it on standby while I sleep and see what the power is when I wake up.

maybe if they launch froyo soon it will fix the extensive drain.

I have 30 days to try it. so if I don't sell my tp2 maybe I'll go back and wait. there are some good things with android over winmo but as far as a buisnesss customer I dont see the differences so far.

4g shows 1 bar, and I just have the classic sence on only 2 screens no friend scroll. but if theres a place in settings to look i'll see if its on
