Re: battery = horrible less than 4 hours standby

here's my best battery output so far. 12 hours so far, 20% left. Normal use, but it was a lazy smartphone sunday (no work email or meeting reminders). Still not bad though:

Re: battery = horrible less than 4 hours standby

after about a week it gets much better, I highly recommend draining the battery to the point that the phone shuts off on you once, and then full charge. I have an I/0 phone and i can go a full 24 hours easily on a light day. but GPS and 4g REALLY eat the battery, put the 4g wigit on your desktop and turn it on and off as needed it REALLY helps.

Off the charger at 11:27 am.. now 10:19 and I have 47% left with pretty good usage... did some live broadcasting with qik, took about 20 pics... 3 calls about 25 text.. fring was on and my emails sync every 30 min as well as the weather. I dont see how folks are getting such terrible results.

Re: battery = horrible less than 4 hours standby

Not to suggest that this is your problem, but my battery performance has been less than stellar and I just installed Spare Parts to figure out why my phone would never sleep. It appeared that Slacker Radio was the culprit. After uninstalling it, my phone now will go to sleep.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; PC36100 Build/ERE27) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

My battery is doing me just fine so far. However I noticed today that my android system is taking up over 90 percent. What gives?

Re: battery = horrible less than 4 hours standby

I managed to get 14hrs off a full charge with pretty moderate to heavy use. I had 4g on for for about 6hrs of that 14 as well as GPS and Bluetooth. As you can see from the attached graph I would consider this pretty sweet. This is off a 5hr charge.

My hero lasted about the same maybe an hour or 2 more.

Nice. Which app is that again?

I am starting to really believe those that said it takes a week to fully condition the phone. I got over 9 hours on a busy workday today. Calls, emails, texts, appt reminders, lots of on screen time. Took me to after 6pm, so that's a success.

Re: battery = horrible less than 4 hours standby

That is systempanel and task killer along with the typical shootme app.

Systempanel can monitor and chart battery usage as well as the other options. Its in the market and free for the time being.

Re: battery = horrible less than 4 hours standby

I don't think the battery meter is right on the EVO. I pulled the battery out when I got the 15% low battery message and put it in my touch pro 2. The gauge on the TP2 read 40% after starting it up. I think I'll randomly check the 2 batteries between the 2 devices and see if there's a consistent discrepancy.
