Yes but they also are doing $25 for 2 GB and 10$ per 1 GB over. However, it was stated that 98% of the users do not go over 2 GB. With the amount of iphones out there, thats quite a hefty percentage.

I was reading on phonedog that a heavy phone user uses under 1 GB per month. Therefore, the plan will actually be slightly cheaper for some.

Re: HTC Evo 4G Users in non-4G markets

Ok the only thing Sprint did wrong here was trying to explain the $10 fee because they certainly went about explaining it the wrong way. But the fact of the matter is, as i've said before, they are a public company and need to please their shareholders quarterly. It is not sustainable to provide essentially unlimited everything for 69.99. It only went down this low because of fierce competition. Sprint loses boatloads of money every quarter so they need to raise prices somewhere. Prices need to go up no matter what but instead of trying to justify the $10 fee for premium data experience they should have just increased all plans by 10. In any event as others have said its only friggin 10 bucks. thats 2.50 per week! comeon im sure you buy more coffees than that.

I suspect that we are type of the users who would be in that 2%. My roommate has an iphone and he used 6gigs last month and he doesn't even tether. He just streams music and podcasts and browses the internet a lot. He was even planning on getting the ipad with the unlimited plan, but now he's not sure. I have a feeling he's going to end up getting the EVO 4G and Ipad and use wifi tethering for the ipad.

Re: HTC Evo 4G Users in non-4G markets

He'll probably just pay for it because it will still be cheaper than his current plan and he isn't much of a computer geek. He never even jail broke his iphone.

Re: HTC Evo 4G Users in non-4G markets

I coulda swore that Sprint said the 10 dollar a month fee is for the uncapping on 3g and 4g data. Now compared to what AT&Terrible announced yesterday, we should be very thankful! Simple, either get the phone and deal with the extra 10 a month, or don't get the phone. I'll have mines this time tomorrow morning =)
