Post HTC Evo 4G Users in non-4G markets

I recently checked out coverage in my area, which is in Southern California, and am disappointed to find out that 4G coverage is nowhere near me. And yet, it is interesting to find out that the pre-order for the first batch is sold out (not sure about the 2nd batch as of yet).

Here is the 4G coverage area search:

http://shop.sprint.com/en/solutions/...dband_4G.shtml

And probably a more useful link which sprint provides where you can sign up for updates when 4G coverage will be available to you:

http://sprint.p.delivery.net/m/p/nxt/4g/prereg.asp

$10???....

I would also like to thank www.explainthefee.com for voicing their opinion on the matter

Absolutely. It would still be the best phone on the market even if it didn't do 4G.

Even with the additional $10/month it's still much cheaper than the competitors plans.

Re: HTC Evo 4G Users in non-4G markets

Why are people still going on about this? $10 a month is chump change. Most people spend more than that on soda and candy and other garbage. If $10 a month is that big a deal to you, make sacrifices elsewhere in your budget to come up with it. Maybe the Sprint plan is really only $10 a month cheaper than comparable plans from Verizon and AT&T, but it's still cheaper, and since $10 a month is such a big deal for a fee, I guess $10 a month is also a big deal in plan savings.

If a $10 "premium data fee" is so offensive, switch to Verizon or AT&T so you don't have to complain about it anymore, or just don't buy the Evo. Yeah I understand it's the principle of the matter, not necessarily the $10, but everybody here has a choice to continue using Sprint or switch to another carrier. We all know about the $10 fee going in so you don't have much reason to complain. It's not like they sprung it on you and locked you in against your will.

When you subscribe to a company's service like this, you just have to deal with their terms and conditions. Love them or hate them, it was your decision to sign a contract agreeing to them. It's a free country, and nothing is forced.

Re: HTC Evo 4G Users in non-4G markets

Na. regardless of the other carrier plans, the $10 fee is a non-justifiable fee. If you don't have 4G we still charge you...smh It's one thing to charge me for something I'm receiving, its another just to charge me because you can get away with it. Same thing At&t did with the IPHONE.

You also get actual unlimited data for that $10 as well. Which is better than say, ATT, who is charging $25 extra for only 2gigs. We have it pretty good with sprint. Just sayin.

Yes we do. I mad about the fee, but that wont deter me from getting this phone!
