Why Are there no commercials?

I'd be willing to bet that BB's preorders count up to nearly a million handsets.

Sprint is making a mistake by not doing a media blitz ....on a national scale.

They care about selling handsets , but not as much as recouping the MILLIONS of subscribers that they have lost.

Most of the responses here are for selfish reasons, but think of Sprint as a whole.

I think what got the Pre the most was the plans. That was the first phone that required the everything plans, and most customers were not willing to switch until they realized that all new phones will require those plans. By that time, the Pre became old news.

actually, (if anyone cares because its a non smartphone) the Samsung Instinct was the first phone on sprint that required an Everything Plan

i think it says something that radioshack stopped it's preorders 3 1/2 days early, it was supposed to go through the 31st but the memo to stop taking preorders went out on the afternoon of the 27th

I agree I'd like to see some commercials but I've talked with quite a few people that aren't really up on new phones and they were asking me about it so word is getting around. I'd like to see Sprint start doing better and build out an even better network so there is more pressure to keep big red & the death star in check.

Wow lets not get ahead of ourselves guys. No doubt the EVO will have a great first weekend in sales but these numbers some are mentioning are beyond ridiculous. Radio shack did not pre-sell anywhere close to 200k units. It was more in the 65-70k range. And I do not know Best Buy's numbers but I guarantee they don't have a million preorders.
