I say this to say stop trying to sell people on things they really may not want. There will be those who can careless about Sense and those who love and rather not live without it. Calling someone blinded for what they like can easily be flipped right back at you but there is no need for either. Let those who enjoy and like Sense, enjoy and like Sense and those who dont like can love the stock or cooked roms they love.

Now with that said, after many experiences with electronics, I do follow the if it aint broke, dont fix it moto but in the case of Android, knowing that rooting and trying out different roms and 2.2 before an official Sense version won't hurt seeing how I will be able to go back to stock. But this is just me.

This is true, you can disable/enable sense on the EVO

Yes, this is something i see posted in quite a few places in this forum from slim with it being cooked in and all, but chances it will Not slow performance overall : high. And you will still have a Android Stock rom feel, when sense is disabled.

I've not had a chance to play, but granted I liked sense on my TP. I also played with an Eris my mother had all of 5 days before she took it back and I liked the sense configuration on it as well.

I'll say this. I've been running stock because I've had a Moment since April and I have been dying to get a device with Sense UI. My dad has a Hero, which has less power, yet the phone runs smoother most of the time and I love the integration and additional homescreens.

Having said that, I also am really looking forward to Froyo. The auto-update for apps will be a godsend as updating apps is currently a giant PITA. The new cloud push features will be neat too. I could care less about flash, though.

The way Sense works with The Market, just go look at apps you've downloaded, any that have updates available are at the top. Click click. However, I think there is an autoupdater program or 2 as well.

That's not sense. That's how the market works in general. But I've woke up to see 10+ updates available at times. It gets annoying. Although, on the Moment my annoyance is doubled by the fact that the data craps out on a regular basis.

In Froyo, you can either click an update all button, or you can selectively enable apps to automatically update themselves so long as no permissions are changed. So now, instead of 10 updates waiting, I can wake up with all my apps up to date, all the time.
