Re: HTC EVO 4G gets hacked Froyo port, Sense UI be damned
This is definitely not true. it actually lags the system more. if you could give precise examples please. the 3d menu is way better, the contact card is better, even the launcher bar is better. that stupid curve thing is soo ugle.

Re: HTC EVO 4G gets hacked Froyo port, Sense UI be damned
The Sense feature does actually make the layout of the phone much better. There are only software lags when a particular phone's processor(&ROM) can handle all processes an user might use(I.E apps, data usage, etc). I would not say that the curve is stupid and ugly but he has a point and is entitled to his opinion. I really don't think The EVO will encounter much lagging issues and if some very minimal. The Incredible is basically build hardware-wise(processor) like the EVO and there's virtually no loading time.

Re: HTC EVO 4G gets hacked Froyo port, Sense UI be damned
You do understand that liking or not liking Sense for any given reason is all PERSONAL preference right? What one my love in Sense, another may dislike, hate, or can do without.
I say this to say stop trying to sell people on things they really may not want. There will be those who can careless about Sense and those who love and rather not live without it. Calling someone blinded for what they like can easily be flipped right back at you but there is no need for either. Let those who enjoy and like Sense, enjoy and like Sense and those who dont like can love the stock or cooked roms they love. Now with that said, after many experiences with electronics, I do follow the if it aint broke, dont fix it moto but in the case of Android, knowing that rooting and trying out different roms and 2.2 before an official Sense version won't hurt seeing how I will be able to go back to stock. But this is just me. |

Re: HTC EVO 4G gets hacked Froyo port, Sense UI be damned
You guys take things too personal. Its that mans phone he can do what he likes with it. But if you're using stock evo or stock incredible removing sense will speed a your phone, not everything is instant. Except for more storage space the nexus has the same ram and processor as well. You guys are acting as if sense is a simple cab to install, but like he said to each his, but sense does make changes to speed in some actually many instances. There will be times when you launch an app and it doesn't launch right away. There will be sometimes you're typing on the web and its kind of slow. All m saying is don't jump on the sense train without trying out stock

Re: HTC EVO 4G gets hacked Froyo port, Sense UI be damned
I personally dont like sense all that much. I will miss the Peep (twitter) client, friend stream, gallery, and browser enhancements, and pinch to overall view on the homescreen. But other than that its not my cup of tea, kind of an acquired taste, and i think its ugly.
I actually dont even use the sense homescreen on my evo now. So i get the home screen i want, with the extra sense apps i DO like, win/win |

Re: HTC EVO 4G gets hacked Froyo port, Sense UI be damned
The only reason I kept sense on the hero when I had it was for the smart dialer, when I got the moment, i found an app called DialerOne so now, I'd rather get rid of rosie. Plus, the android lockscreen > sense lockscreen

Here is a noobish question for you guys: Can't you disable Sense on Android like you can on WM?
