the 2nd wave of preorders will get delivered on the 9th. best buy charges $7.99 to install an invisible shield on the front. well worth it to most, as we go through a few while we are learning to install the shield and we still need to chunk one every once and a while. many people who do try themselves have less than stellar results.

The shield on my TP1 is terrible. It seems to collect more gunk than just a plain screen I had on my mogul. I haven't decided what I'm going to do about a screen cover. Anyone else have this problem?

Just a comment on putting on the shield. I have gone to 2 different Best Buys and they don't charge you to put the shield on as long as you purchase it from them. So dunno if some busier Best Buys charge or what. So maybe they won't charge you anything.
On that note, I had a 50% off coupon code from Invisishield so went ahead and got full body skin for Evo and skins for wifes phone and other accessories we had, so I will have to attempt myself. Done it all before but does require patience heh. I actually don't even prefer the Invisishields due to the rubbery feel but will give them credit for being a thick shield and know that it won't get scratched, so that's why I went with it for the Evo, I want to protect this puppy! |

To the OP, the sprint store I went to in my area seemed a little disorganized, back when I had issues with my Mogul. The other store, a few miles away, while I'm not sure if they do repairs, or not, seemed to be more on the ball. I always order my phones online, or through telesales, anyway, so I am able to get around the retail store racket.

I recently went to the sprint store to get my touch pro fixed. Went to the sprint website around 4pm, made an appointment for 7pm. Got to the store about 6:45pm, and was told the tech was doing inventory and go home and come back the next day. Least to say it pissed me as they had advanced notice I would be bringing in my phone, but because they wanted to go home early they would not service my device. I will never shop at, or step foot in, a retail sprint store again if I have the option not to.
I preordered my evo at radioshack, and can not wait to pick it up. |
