I Just Went to Best Buy, and....

I have to say, it was MUCH more pleasant than my local Sprint store. I was #7 in line at the Sprint store, yet people who came in 20 minutes AFTER I did were being helped before me (and no, they did not have reservations). I asked the Associate what was going on, and he said "Well, we're basically taking people with equipment problems right now. So, just wait or go somewhere else." WOW! I wasn't even rude, I was just confused. I thought maybe I had screwed up somehow. Wrong line or something... Not the case, they're just garbage. I wasn't able to stay long enough for them to get to me even though after 45 minutes I was #1, and people were still going ahead of me.

SO, I went to Best Buy. Yeah, man.....yeah.

Not only do they take pre-orders for the Evo 4G, but they will be having plenty of accessories available on the launch date. If you don't wanna order screen protectors, they will put them on before you even get there for like $20. The Associate at BB said they were InvisiShield or something of the like. As many people have also said, they do not do the "mail-in rebate". You simply get $100 In the Store, Right then...Right There.

I know a lot of people know about most of this, but I was mainly just so disturbed by my local Sprint Store's HORRIBLE Customer Service. Best Buy is much better.

EDIT: Almost forgot! You also (for a limited time I think) get a BlueTooth Headset when you pre-order your Evo 4G at Best Buy.

Is Best Buy paying people now? Jesus. $20.00 just to put on a screen protector? Not only is that just another way Best Buy sucks cash out of your pocket, but if you can't put on a screen protector yourself, that's pretty sad.

Reasons I pre-ordered at Radio Shack:

1. Guaranteed the I would have the device on launch day
2. $10.00 survey credit that can be used towards purchase of device
3. $20.00 accessory credit just for pre-ordering

It's not that charge you to put the Screen Protector on, man.

They are $20 for a pack of like 2-3, and they will put it on for you before you even pick it up. That's what I meant. Yes I can put them on myself, but I'll be picking mine up right before work, so it's a nice option to have. Also, you can act as judgmental as you want, but a lot of people have trouble putting those on w/o getting bubbles and stuff inside. Some people just don't have steady hands, not to mention some of the older ladies and gentlemen who may have a hard time seeing the lines and what-not.

The Shack sounds like a great place to pre-order as well judging from what you posted up there.

The lord chose to bless me with the least steady hands in the entire world. Them putting my protector on would be amazing for me.

I pre-order'ed with radio shack though

I think almost everybody knows this. Sorry you had to go through this. I usually see it the other way around where they are more eager to help the "buyers" rather than the "TEP" folks.

From what I heard it's a Plantronics 230. Less than stellar reviews all over. No wonder they are giving them away.

Does anyone know if BB will give $100 instant MIR to partial credit customers.
I talked to a sprint rep today and the $100 MIR is for $150 off customers only, Did she make a mistake or will I dish out more $$

Mine is already pre-ordered through BB so no turning back now
