Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?

I have an employee plan through my job (Best Buy) but it is not the SERO or SWAC you guys are talking about, its called the Free and Clear 3000 plan. I pay $20 a month for 3000 minutes, unlimited text and data. Does anyone know if my plan will be compatible with the HTC EVO?

I used to work for BBMobile, now work for a Sprint Corp location. Had that plan, and nope it won't work. Its not the SERO plan, but is got a snazzy acronym very similar. I tried to keep it as a second line when I started here, after I got my free employee line, but they wouldn't let me activate anything on it that required an everything plan, so basically a Windows phone or old school stuff. Long story short, you will have to change your plan to get the EVO. Sorry dude.

+1...we tried to activate our stores advocate EVO on the advocates employee line today, and they won't even let us--and "us" is a corporate location--activate it. We have to keep that EVO on the stores advocate device line until June 17th. Not even company advocates can get it activated...

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?

The only way to activate on ADVANTAGE lines is to call them and they will do it for you. As far as any other type lines I dont know but i've already confirmed as well as many others numerous times via email and phone that we can activate as of tomorrow.

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?

I can back brownhornet up on this. I've confirmed this myself via e-mail. You'll have to pay full price for the phone. Now I just need to find a retailer who will sell me the phone off contract and with no in-store activation.

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?

I have the same Free & Clear plan and you can have the EVO on it. Its just not approved yet. I talked to my sprint rep and she said that they will not allow the EVO on our plans of right now. Also, you can have any phone on that plan. I have the HTC Hero right now on the plan. But I had to have my sprint rep actually activate it for me because it requires special codes for the data plan. Just wanted to let you know.

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?

Okay kids...looking for some advice from someone that really knows Sprint. I am on a Free and Clear family plan, with an added phone.... I have been told by everyone at Sprint that I cannot stay on this plan if I want an EVO. Need some knowledgeable advice... Is this the same case as wait 60-90 days and ....maybe?

The guy I talked to at BB said it's hit or miss whether he is able to do it. He said worst case scenario, you buy the phone, then can't activate it, then you return it and try again at a later date.
