Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?
Last announcement from Sprint last week says that there will be an announcement in the next 2 weeks. In that announcement they will say when the EVO and Epic will be available.
SO... again we wait...

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?
Just figured I'd let you all know if you don't already.
The Evo and Epic will be available on November 2nd at 12:01 AM for Advantage Club members and employees. FINALLY. Plus we get an instant $50 rebate, making the Evo only $150. Double yeah.

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?
Well, it was supposed to include the original $100 mail-in rebate too. My wife just ordered me one though and it only shows the $100 mail-in rebate, no $50 instant rebate. Booo.

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?
I got more clarification. The additional $50 rebate is for the employee accounts only, not sponsored accounts (i.e. SWAC).
Oh well, I got my Evo ordered finally this morning. I've been hearing stories about employees going to buy them through iConnect and not being able to because it's sold out. Seems like my wife was able to put an order through though. I'll probably end up having to wait longer to get it than usual, oh well, at least the wait is mostly over! |

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?
Well, a long time has passed and I finally found a rep that knew exactly what was going on. 3rd party plan holders no longer can have contracts. The way he explained it is that the accounts are supposed to be only as good as the time you are working for the 3rd party company i.e. BB or RS. If you stop working there, then the sprint account rep is supposed to removed your employee status. You then get contacted to change your rate plan or disconnect. So, without any contracts, you don't have any upgrades either. I guess the only way around this is to get them to change your plan to the indirect one but I think that is a huge YMMV. He did tell me that I was free to purchase a phone outright and they will activate 4g on the 3rd party plans for the additional $10.
So, now I'm on the hunt for a new or like new used Evo 4g. If anyone out there wants to get rid of one, let me know. For a brand new untouched model, I'm willing to pay up to $275. For a like new used, up to $200. These prices are based off what I'm seeing on craigslist around here. |

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?
I will offer $50 paypal transfer if someone could help me activate an Android or Windows Phone 7 on my Free and Clear 1000 Family Plan without switching plans.
