Sprint's ETF works on a sliding scale: $200 through the first 5 months, then reduce by $10 every month until the end of the contract. As of June 1 I will still have 6 months on my contract but I will have to wait 30 days to switch the numbers on the contracts then terminate the line I don't need.

guys please i need some advise

Ok, so I'm trying to understand what happened.

You were out of contract (or in contract and your lines were expiring soon) so you signed another two years for $70 each?

Well if that was the case, then you can still be in contract and still have the upgrade eligibility like I do. So my question is, when did you buy the TP2s?

The reason I am asking is because when Sprint offers you the $70 to re-sign, they don't give you the subsidized price of the phone (if you choose to buy a phone at the time you are accepting that offer). Its an either-or type of deal they offer.

EDIT: Nvm, I see what you did. Didn't see the date of the $70 offer until now.

Well, you still have the $75 upgrade price. If you have spare gift cards for Best Buy or Radio Shack, that should help.

Another way to get gift cards are credit cards. I have points set up on my Chase and Discover credit cards for every dollar I spend on the cards. I usually turn those points into Best Buy gift cards. I usually get around $200-$300 per year out of this.

Keep in mind the sliding scale isn't applicable to all Sprint users. When I added a 2nd line, I was told it would be on the sliding ETF scale while my existing line (older contract) still had the full ETF regardless.

if at first you don't succeed ..try try again. that my motto with Sprint. call them, and speak to an advanced tech support rep, or better..their supervisor. try, then try again, and then try some more. But have a valid reason before calling. you're reason being that you're a valued sprint customer, you have a family plan, and willing to renew your contract for an amazing phone. It will happen, just talk to the right person.

Add $150 to your upgrade price since Radio Shack's full retail price will be $499.99. http://radioshackwireless.com/templa...0516_002_HPEVO

AND you do not get the rebate with the $75 off.

Today I just got a $100 credit to my account for June because I told them my work was offering me an iPhone but I did not want to switch services. Persistence is key.

Mail in rebates are only valid for 2 year full upgrade eligibility. The $75 off at 1 year is just that, $75 off the full retail price.

https://manage.sprintpcs.com/special...bateWelcome.do

**Get $150 off or Sprint’s nationally advertised price on a new device, whichever is better. Nationally advertised price reflects regular price minus all eligible mail-in and instant rebates.

The $25 and $75 offers are a savings off regular price.

aren't all EFTs pro-rated? I thought a Federal law was passed making sure EFTs were pro-rated.

What I am going to do is just hold off altogether. I'm satisfied with both my phone (Samsung Moment) and my plan. I'm not going to get this phone to tie myself to another 2 years (already been with Sprint for and pay the "use fee" of $10 extra a month just to have this phone... to me, it doesn't make sense to pay $240 of "use fee" for two years, get the phone at $199.00. Again this is my opinion. I'll stick with non-4G phones for now, until we have no choice... and yes, I do have 4G in my area

My opinion is you should just wait until your eligiable for the full upgrade price. If you're not willing to do that, then sell your TP2s and use that cash plus some out-of-pocket to buy the phones full retail (remember you'll be paying an extra $480 bucks of "use fee" for the two years per your agreement) Just doesn't make financial sense to me
