Re: $10 is really bothering you? Check this out.

It's for 4G.
It's for subsidizing the phone.

Who cares? You either pay the price or you don't get the phone.
This lobbying, whining, crying, b1tching, threatening is plain getting away from what this board is about.

Sheep or not. There isn't going to be a prize for being right that's for sure.

Too much energy to spend for being the class wind machine & then still getting the phone.
Back bone be damned & principles in the recycle bin for use as hypocrisy on another day.

CW

Just because Sprint acts liek they don't care about their customers doesn't mean I will turn into a mindless sheep that just accepts everything without question.

I will make sure Sprint knows that I am not happy about it.

One thing is for sure- if you just accept the fee, there is no way it will ever go away.

You guys are all wrong.

The $10 fee is payback for all of us flashing our phones and tethering the fcuk out of our TP2s. :D

And the TP2 from the Mogul is just as big of an upgrade anyway. WM6.5 is way more data heavy than the WM5 or WM6 (whatever) that the Mogul shipped with. The IE in the TP2 has built in flash support for crying out loud, and the TP2 shipped with a youtube app, weather, and all kinds of stuff that uses data. The Mogul had none of that when it launched.

Clearly, this fee is for 4G.

you're paying for unlimited data on an older type phone, its unlimited data with the phone you have. to have unlimited data with this phone is $10 more.

Too much energy for little return.

Feel free to skip these discussions if you want. Nobody is making you read them or post in them. Obviously a lot of us feel strongly about this as it's the #1 thing being discussed on just about every Sprint or Evo related message board.

And "pay the proce or don't get the phone" aren't set in stone as the only 2 options. Like I said, there is rumor of an internal meeting at Sprint this week to discuss what to do with these fees.

Sprint went out of their way to generate hype for this phone. They see their hype being destroyed by this stupis fee. They will weigh their options and decide if they would rather hit a home run with this device or possibly have another failure of Palm Pre or Samsung Instinct proportions.

I can see it now.

Dan Hesse: "We have listened to everyone's concerns regarding the $10 add-on and we understand your frustration. We are excited to announce that we will lower this add-on fee to a more acceptable price of $9.99. Thank you for choosing Sprint. Enjoy your Evo 4G!"

False. The plan is the same, with a $10 fee added for a "richer media experience."

The data plan is not technically changing at all.

Please post a link to where I said I a was going to do that.

I just love how all of these Sprint fanboys have such a narrow vision. Just because someone says Sprint isn;t the ONLY carrier that provides a decent service at a decent price that means you must be a Sprint hater who has already committed to leaving Sprint. LOL, whatever man.
