Ditto this....I pre-ordered through Best Buy, but I'd sure hate to pay about $250.00 more at Best Buy, than I would at a Sprint Store w/ no contract.

Re: Any word on the full retail price for the EVO?

I am guessing that Radio Shack will offer the same price as Sprint because historically, this has been the case. Either that or RS sells them for cheaper. Best Buy on the other hand seems to retail prices higher than Sprint which is why I preordered my EVO from Radio Shack though they are not allowing preorders unless you are eligible for an upgrade, even if you are willing to pay full price (whatever that may be- likely 450 at RS).

i doubt best buy is gonna price match after they say 699.99, they know sprints selling it for less im sure..

should that be the case for you... you dont have to get it from them even though you pre-ordered.... use your BB gift card they gave you at the pre-order for whatever you want, doest have to be the phone and go get your phone at the 449 price from sprint or the shack(if shack is in fact 449 too)

you dont have to pick up your pre-orders.. that just means after 6/5/10 theyll sell your device and not hold one for you... thats it.. nothing to lose by walking away from paying 250 more at BB.. just have a 50 BB card now though... im sure you can find a use for that lol

Are you still going ahead with your pre-order even though you know the full retail price will be much higher at Best Buy? Are you planning to price match? If so, be armed with printed material from Sprint showing MSRP and that a local store has them in stock. I think BB WILL go through the trouble to verify for this phone.

Also, if Radio Shack advertises the EVO in their Sunday ad the week of release, they always advertise the unactivated price underneath the contract price. It should be the same as Sprint MSRP. You could PM with that.

You do realize best buy charges 699 for full retail correct? Only upgrades and new connects get it for 199. Why would You pay 699 for this phone?

Dude, think about it for a second. You'll be throwing that $200 right out the window. Let's say the phone costs $649 at BB, you will be spending $449 anyway. Just get it at Sprint for $449 and still have your gift cards left over. I know your next argument is that you will gain more Reward Zone points, but it's still not worth it to me. But hey, it's your money.

Re: Any word on the full retail price for the EVO?

I think he's trying to make sure he gets it day one. Most sprint stores aren't just going to sell them like that, they will be holding out for upgrades and new acts because that's how they get paid. That's a heads up for everyone. Walk in to sprint and pretend like you want a new line, if you don't actually want a new line wait till they bring the phone out and say you want to pay full retail for it, if that's your plan.
