I just tried to preorder yesterday at RS and got shot down because I am not eligible for an upgrade. Rep even called his district manager who said I could not preorder. Yet another reason to hate Radio Shack! Luckily I live in Atlanta so I should have no problem finding a store with one on June 4th. Flying out to Seattle that night, so I'll have 5 hours on the plane to play with it! Guess I'm ponying up for WiFi on that flight!

Telisales is the way to go evrytime comes the next day no xtra charge for me....And I dont even gotta pay upfront juz bill to account if your account has that available.. Who wants to stand in line at these annoying stores..I know I got my TP2 and Diamond that way and had the day it was released...

well if you telesales the EVO, your going to wait till the following monday to recieve it in the mail as sprint doesnt have saturday delivery and the 6/4 release is a friday..

and you didnt have a TP2 on launch day, quit playin LOL... Nooone did, since launch was telesales only, so maybe you couldve had it the next day, but very few people got it next day, due to labor day weekend alot didnt get em till following tuesday.. 4 days after launch..

this time Telesales = waiting the whole weekend to have your device, when we all went to a store and picked it up on Day1..

and if you read around, most people reported that there was little to no problem or wait to pre-order... so theres not gonna be long lines really im sure..

I have exciting news! You are now eligible to preorder the Sprint HTC EVO 4G!

Sprint announced last night that the EVO is officially launching June 4th for $199.99 after a $100 mail in rebate for your upgrade eligible line. In some cases, the phone can be billed to the monthly invoice. If this is not an option for your type of an account, I will let you know and will get payment information on the date it ships.

The EVO will require a $10/month add-on for Premium Data on an Everything Data plan. An optional add-on for $29.99/month turns your phone into a mobile hotspot for connecting up to 8 devices at 4G speeds.

Please reply as soon as possible to reserve your HTC EVO 4G. I will continue to update you on information regarding the shipping & any other press releases.

alright, so i reserved the evo at BB yesterday, bought the $50 gift card, blah blah blah.
number 13 on the list.

my current plan details:
- free and clear grandfathered 500min, 1000txt, unlimited data, n/w, etc
- business discount with fedex 23% or whatever it currently is
- been off contract for like 5-6 years now
- eligible for 150 upgrade credit


so whats to expect when i show up june 4th?
- pay my 150 and walk out with the evo?
- pay my 150, sign a 2yr contract, and have my plan changed to the $100 unlimited + $10 monthly fee?
- out of stock? i would be pissed.
- pay full price, whatever that is??


im willing to sign a 2yr contract seeing as ive been using my diamond for 2 years now, i can see myself using this phone for 2 years as well.
the more i read here, the more i get confused on whats to expect?
i need to be prepared for whatever they might throw at me and if theres other options i should go for. any help is appreciated, thanks

Just preordered my phone from bb last friday. They said I might not get it on June 4th but I was the 19th person. I would think they would get more than that on the 4th.
