Re: Which OS are you switching from for the EVO?

Switching from TP2. WinMo was an "ok" experience, leaning towards "I want to throw this damn thing at the nearest wall" as of lately. Will keep TP2 for overseas trips I guess, but Evo should be my new baby.

Re: Which OS are you switching from for the EVO?

So I am not the only one coming from a Touch Pro 2 with problems? LOL! I've had to hard reset a few times but I think it may be to something I had installed cause I installed lots of cab files from over at PPC Geeks and I think XDA. I can't wait for this phone and someone said the battery from our Touch Pro 2 will work on the EVO. I have an extra generic one too but it's not the same 1500 mAh it's like 1400 so it may not work. I may do the buy back program there giving 82 bucks and I onyl paid 200 for my phone. I was gonna try and sell it for a 100 but I'll take 82.

Hell mine is brand new just got a new one last week...lol and it has ZAGG all over it. I would have no problem getting 200-250 for it but it's gonna be hard to get rid of it after I paid full price for it.

Re: Which OS are you switching from for the EVO?

It's not and I can't tell you how it happened cause I have this snap on thing on the front and back but somehow there is a chip on the right side at the bottom. My friend says it needs a new bezel but the thing is I never have dropped my phone hard at all. I would know if I did cause I would of been like oh darn I dropped my phone and be inspecting it all over. But one day I just noticed this chip and it was after I had it sitting on the break table at work. I was like did anyone touch my phone? Then I thought maybe I had it in my labcoat pocket and it hit the wall going around a corner. But I never saw black pieces in my pocket.

So I really am clueless about this chip. And I can post pictures but no one will believe me and they will think maybe I have a bad phone. But it works fine just has that chip. So I thought 82 would be a nice chunk off of the 199 but then my store said it had to be used for accessories. So I don't know what to do. Maybe keep it as a backup. I want the battery out of it anyway for my new phone. And I also have an extra generic one I can sell with the phone and mark the price down maybe. I don't know yet what I'm gonna do but thanks for the info..

Re: Which OS are you switching from for the EVO?

i have no problem with winmo, but with the Evo - it tops everything. Plus, I'm not sure where winmo's vision is going.. I can be sure that android will stick around for awhile.
