Re: Evo a World Phone?
So? What does that have to do with anything? The fact remains that the only plan requirement for a g1 is a data plan, and that is only on phne bought on contract. if you buy it off contract, you don't even need a data plan. There is no special G1 plan, so I have no idea what plan you had to upgrade to.

Re: Evo a World Phone?
Because I didn't have data. Hence my plan "wasn't compatible" and technically the G1 data plan was coded differently then other data plans, so it does have "its own data plan" but thats a technicality. And idk where you got that info from, but everyone I know who bought the phone no contract had to add the data. Theyd come back 20 minutes later and couldn't get passed the 1st screen

So your plan was absolutely compatible, you just had to get on the internet in order to sign into Google (and paying for an unlimited data plan isn't the only way to do that, but it will certainly work). That is not the same thing at all as Sprint reps telling customers the unlimited data they have been paying for on their Windows Mobile phone won't work on their Hero or Pre, and requiring an upgrade before they will even activate the phone. |
