I know GSM uses slightly less juice, so battery life is better, and that you can swap in a different sim, if I was traveling out of the country. What else is there?

Edit: I hope this doesn't turn into a GSM-CDMA war....

Nothing super major just little things, like talk and surf, some phones work with video conferencing, if I'm on the phone with my brother and my dad calls I can conference in my dad without hanging up, I can initiate a 4 or 5 way call instead of just a 3 way call. Then of course the things you named as well, but the biggest is talk and surf. Not to mention GSM usually has more variety as the majority of the world uses GSM.

I forgot about the talk and surf thing....I don't think I'd ever use it (4G/WiMax may change that, however). Never had a situation where I've needed something on the web while on the phone. Usually, I'm at a computer, so it hasn't been an issue.

Can you use the 4 or 5 way call here? Didn't the TP2s in the US only allow for 3 way calling?

Re: Evo a World Phone?

Call conference is nice! And having to talk and surf at the same is a must have! I many many many times wish i could talk and surf because at times when am talking on the phone i need to get some info from the web but i cant because am talking =/. However 4G will soon change that and plus 4G is coming to NYC soon! ;]

Only the cdma versions only allow for 3 way, att and T-Mobile can do more then 3. Any GSM phone can conference in more then 3 people but the tp2 can initiate a 4 way call from jump. T-Mobile users had to install a cab before the 6.5 update to initiate 4way conference calling. But it is nice to just select 4 names then just press talk. That was a big plus for the tp2.

This is not confirmed. Sprint is not sure if talk and surf will work. With the models demoed at vegas it was a negative, sprint is testing the network now.

Don't think I'm a sprint hater, trust me I want that feature to work. I am an att and verizon hater if anything only because they charge an arm and a leg and give the same service as sprint and T-Mobile.
