Nothing super major just little things, like talk and surf, some phones work with video conferencing, if I'm on the phone with my brother and my dad calls I can conference in my dad without hanging up, I can initiate a 4 or 5 way call instead of just a 3 way call. Then of course the things you named as well, but the biggest is talk and surf. Not to mention GSM usually has more variety as the majority of the world uses GSM.
