I have been looking for something similar and this is the closest/cheapest gadget i see.

Maybe this one from dragonext which is cheaper.
http://www.dragonext.com/multi-funct...amera-mp3.html However, according to the photo, I think you cannot charge the battery directly. If a charger is needed, you may simply use the wall charger. |

can we keep on topic. I was very clear in what I'm looking for and a solar powered battery that will charge my phone is not it. I'd even be interested in a solar powered device that I could plug my battery charger into.

I did some digging and can't seem to find what you're looking for - a device w/ a solar panel that you could put your spare battery in to charge. As far as something you could just plug your existing spare battery wall charger into, you would need something that has a solar panel and an inverter w/ an AC plug on it (solar panels generally deliver DC and wall charger is AC) and the only ones I could find were bulky and expensive. If you're at all electrically inclined you could always try and rig one yourself (Radio Shack sells solar panel kits) but that would be a bit of an undertaking...
