Re: Battery Charger
Based on my expirence I'm going to say no. I have a micro usb charger branded for a Motorola and it doesn't function properly. It charges the phone, however the screen basically becomes unusable. You have to apply a lot of pressure to register a command. Once I unplug the charger the screen is back to normal.

Re: Battery Charger
if the output is 5v 1a (or 1000ma which is the same and should just say 1a) it should work with no prob. I've seen a lot of chargers that only put out 800ma which can cause some issues.

Re: Battery Charger
I'd be careful getting anything that goes over what the stock charger puts out. Less is fine because a USB port outputs at 500mA and it charges fine (just slower). Over 1A and you could risk damaging the phone.

Re: Battery Charger
FYI I could be mistaken but the amp rating on ac/dc converters is not current it outputs but the max current a device can draw from that converter the same is not true for voltage.
As long as the converter has an amp rating greater than the amp draw from the device you are OK if the device draws more current than the converter you will fry the converter. So a 2 amp converter is OK but 12v bad. Match the voltage make sure the amperage is greater than or equal to the current draw of the device. Scott |
