A good bricking DO NOT DO THIS: ^^)

That would be a lock up or hang or a non stop reboot... A solid brick from what I have seen happen to folks is in the middle of a flash using a Ruu they pulled the usb cord out in the middle of it and phone wouldn't turn on was dead..

This method may work for folks to gain S-OFF Which is a good start... Just be careful with it because if you do brick I don't think you will save it
Hope you guys have a good weekend

Re: [DOWNGRADE HBOOT] HBOOT 1.50(And possibly future/other devices)

Never Hacked a phone before. Never used linux before. Took me 8 hours to do but i did it. The hard part was trouble shooting the 2.17 ruu. zip. I couldn't get it to take. I don't know where i finnaly found a zip that would take. Then my heart skiped a beat when my phone wouldn't turn durrning the linux part. I ended up switching usb ports at some point and the linux system crashed and next thing I knew I had my red led light back. After that I got the hang of everything.

Thanks for knowledge.

Re: [DOWNGRADE HBOOT] HBOOT 1.50(And possibly future/other devices)

I found it on one of the Evo sites. I tried over 10 zip files to get the first part done. I kept track for a while but i just started downloading every zip i could. sorry couldn't help. I couldn't figure out how to extract the damm 2.17 ruu exe.

anyone else have that problem with the 2.17 ruu?

Re: [DOWNGRADE HBOOT] HBOOT 1.50(And possibly future/other devices)

Just did this last night. The Live CD over at XDA is a good compliment. It took me about 10 tries to get the timing right on the brick and then went threw the linux part on Live CD. Revolutionary worked for me first time. I now have Hboot 1.4 and s-off! POW!
