Re: Anyone else considering returning their EVO 3D?

Never considered returning my 3D. Never considered returning my 4G. Seems like ppl are looking to bad stuff in this phone. Nothing is perfect/flawless. My 2 cents......

Re: Anyone else considering returning their EVO 3D?

My TP2 is a crab phone, so the 3D is the only good phone and iphone is not.

So I am stuck with the 3D.

I am sure when HTC comes up with a ROM update everything will be fix.

Re: Anyone else considering returning their EVO 3D?

Being new to Android, I'm glad the 3d was my first. I have time to fiddle and play around with it for a bit before perm root, and unlocked bootloader comes into play. Plan on trying my hand at making my own roms, so in due time my phone just gets better.

Really don't have any beefs with it. Very quick and responsive. Plus I have no gripes when it comes to battery life. Txt and emails rule my phone, so a full charge last all day. It seems to charge faster then my old tp2.

All in all I'm a happy camper.

Re: Anyone else considering returning their EVO 3D?

I love it. Phone calls are great, happy with my battery, there's more good to this phone than anything else. I choose to be "stuck" with it. It's obviously a subjective thing, some will enjoy it, some will be OK with it, and others will seek out something that fits for them best.

I do think the external speaker could go higher/louder... but it's definitely not a deal breaker for me.

Re: Anyone else considering returning their EVO 3D?

I can definitely live with the speaker many are concerned about. I haven't decided 100% what to do yet. I like the phone in many ways and am enjoying Android 1000 times more than what it was just two years ago. I just really am stunned at the battery life but I'm coming from another OS that when tweaked had much better battery life when doing all the same tasks. I think the screen is probably the source of the battery consumption on this thing. My guess is HTC thought it would be more energy efficient than it turned out to be.

Re: Anyone else considering returning their EVO 3D?

The crappy camera has me thinking about taking it back, but I traded in my Evo so I'm kinda stuck. But the fact that I can't take decent photo indoors, or in the sun, or anywhere else for that matter, really grinds my gears.

After 21 days it would take a team of Clydesdale's to rip this beast from my grubby little hand.

Messaging, it only does this after selecting a person to text. If you want to get out without saving, don't hit the back button, hit the home button instead.
Gator352, sorry but just simply hitting the home key when I have a signature for messaging does not work, it still saves the draft. The problem with the way this program is written for the Android phone is that it is inserting my signature after opening the message. I believe in my Windows TP2 phone the signature was embedded so therefore it was not added upon opening it. The Touch pro2 treated signatures the same way they are treated in email, they are part of the email not added to it. Someone at HTC and Android needs to figure that out and fix it. I should be able to check a text message, read and exit without saving a blank text to draft every single time. How stupid.

I don't know how you feel about using another program, but I am using Handcent for all of my messaging on this phone and I love it. It treats the signature as you seem to want it; the box where you type your message has nothing in it but your message, and when sent, your signature is attached. So if you type nothing, no draft is saved.

You also have the ability to read and/or reply to messages without unlocking the phone if you leave that setting enabled. Very customizable, and free. If you wanted to try that for messaging.
