Was looking so forward to this phone as well. Unfortunately it's a deal breaker for me though. At least until hopefully someone can help solve rooting.

Looks like I just saved 500 bucks by keeping my current EVO, ok Samsung, its ur move now.

Aren't they locked down at the carrier's request (or requirement)? In which case complaining to them would be usless. I'm guessing its a done deal anyway??

Deal breaker for me too...

probably.....I'm sure w/ data usage continually rising, Sprint may want to nip the tethering. But someone else had a good point....with all the leaks lately, rooted EVOs (and other HTC phones) are getting updates they normally would not get, causing a possible loss of sales for new handsets.

I'm surprised more ppl are not lashing out @ Sprint

Is there another phone with equal specs on any carrier? If there is a comparable phone, then this is absolutely a deal breaker.
