Its been a long journey to the new ICS rom for me today. I went ahead and re-locked and then re-rooted my phone just to try to clear up the issues I was having with all the 2.17 based roms. Did so successfully after much reading since I accidentally updated to hboot 1.5 using the wrong RUU. I shouldn't have tried to do it while working smh (hboot 1.5 sucks!)... had to figure out how to root 1.5 and the bs that came with that (didnt realize you had to flash roms in a special way with 1.5 o_O). At the end of the day I'm glad it made me get more comfortable with adb and comand prompt and where/how various files extract from some of these zips. I may have to keep my E3D after I get the E4GLTE to play and learn with Thanks again for the help! Time to dig into some ICS!!! Hopefully I have no more problems!!!


Update: Wow! That's all I can say. I'm really loving this ICS update so far. Super smooth, seems to be great on battery and a much more refined overall ui imo. I get how it can make you second guess the E4GLTE... kinda lol still can't wait for the hardware enhancements, but software-wise this almost feels like a new phone!

If so you should have s-off.

If your still s off you could flash hboot 1.40 over 1.50..

Nope... I un-rooted and relocked. The plan was unroot, S-on and then reverse but like is said accidentally ended up in hboot 1.5 land. It's not too bad now that I know what to do. It just added a whole lot of extra steps to get back lol

Geeeez lol. I wouldn't have relocked. When I ran into issues I only ran the ruu.

Yeah in retrospect I'd have to agree lol... But so far at least it's running better than it ever has on any of the other 2.17 roms

Btw anyone notice the notification bar is still fully functional from the lock screen? Don't think it's a problem just seemed odd. That's not supposed to be like that is it? Or is that normal ICS?

Which lock screen? it doesn't work in my key lock screen (where you pull the ring up), my pattern lock screen or even in my facial recognition screen. I haven't tried the pin screen yet.

OMJ is da man. I have not "upgraded" yet, but am about to in the next couple days. I just have a few questions:
1. I am on v2.6 with 2.17, so I should just be able to Superwipe and install v3.1 and have no issues theoretically, right?
2. From reading posts, Sprint Hotspot does not work? But Wifi Tether does and it's all good with 4g as well? (do you still enable clamping, etc?)
3. Have you gotten the colored icons yet?
