So I tried to fix the issue I stated above where the icons are messed up on reboot for apps on the SD card to no avail. Tried to wipe and reflash, still no improvement. Then tried wipe and flashing the unmodified zip (initially I used the zip that required modification to circumvent the automatic wipe) still no improvement. Idk what to do to fix this issue. Anyone else have any luck?

I searched a little and did not find my answer so I apologize if this has already been answered.

Can I use Wifi Tether without paying for the Sprint Hotspot fee? I used to do this all the time with WifiRouter on my touch pro 2 but am new to the EVO lineup.

all data in the /data partition....so any apps you've installed, settings, etc

short answer....yes....wifi tether & hot spot are 2 different apps....both will work, and as aedon said, the hot spot app is hacked.

I just gotta say that this is one of the best multipurposed, de-bloated ROM's I've ever used and I absolutely love it.
I rooted with revolutionary on h-boot 1.4 so I'm S-off and glad to not have to put up with all that HTC H-boot 1.5 unlock bull-hockey. (Un-root to take the update and re-root? Schmeesh!)

I'm currently running your v2.4 ROM with the RC Mix Kernel V11. They seem to play together very well and the RC Mix kernel allows SetCPU to OC stably up to 1.72. It gives pretty good numbers on CF Bench (Linpak and Quadrant don't necessarily show as high but I trust CF Bench)

SO- the big question- I've seen that there is an OTA update. Are you going to build a ROM or tweak the 2.3.4 to add the new radio and 2.17.651.5 update? It would be uber-cool and I cannot wait. I've seen some of the other ROM's with 2.17.651.5 but I don't want them. I want yours. Why don't you ad RC Mix's kernel in while you're at it? Then we don't have to flash separately. This is you mission, should you choose to accept it, Although, if you or any of your OMJ operatives be captured or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of you actions.
I understand if it's too much, I realize you have a job too and don't just sit around waiting to do forum participant request fulfillments.

that would be cool.. but to my knowladge... you cant oc the kernals for 2.17 yet.

Im throwing togeather a light base rom with all morking mods (cept crt sadly) right now

the only compatable 2.17 kernal I have found is freezas dual core screen off kernal.
Its not oc'ed but i havnt noticed any issues with it at all.

This rom is compleatly stock themed, but has been gutted and modded
so hotspot is active
7 in one reboot
batter percentages
1x notifications
dimmed led lights
dual core screen off script in the freeza kernal
rooted
deodexed
all apps up to date (as of yesturday..)
most bloadwear removed.
all loggers removed.

No problem completely understand.... One thing I can say is since doing the wipe and reflash I have not had any periodic random reboots (they were very infrequent even before the wipe/reflash anyway). The Rom is EXCELLENT just still having that issue with losing icons (of apps on SD) when I reboot, but I rarely (never really) reboot so its a minor issue just strange. I'll keep you all posted if I figure something out or notice any changes. I probably wont worry about it and just hope it resolves itself whenever there is a new version lol.

I've tried using Sense's built-in memory management to move the apps and Titanium Backup... Same results... Haven't tried reformatting. If the next update still has this issue for me I may try it then. For now its not a big enough deal

I'm back in town, but still been busy catchin up.....I thought I read somewhere about conflicts with mods & the new OTA??? if so, I won't be building from it. If that's not the case, I'll put a ROM together eventually....

maybe I'm thinking of the kernel not being able to overclock....
