Everything worked perfectly, I really didn't think my Eris was running that slow until I installed 2.1. Even after reinstalling all my apps and programs, wow, what a difference. Thanks to everyone who helped patch this leak up!

how do i do this and does it void anything???? will we still do the udate when it is supposed to be sent out as well????very interested in this just kindof interested in exactly what it does before i go ahead and do this...thx in advance.

it may void it if you brick it. if your that worried wait until the offical update which could be today or 2 months from now or even longer, lol. if you want to install the update heres the instructions:


TUTORIAL:
1. place the PB00IMG.zip in the root of your sdcard (DONT UNZIP PB00IMG.zip)
2. back up all important data contacts synced with google will transfer over when you sign into your google account.
3. shut down phone
4. start phone with "power+volume down" at the same time
5. let it load the PB00IMG.zip
6. when it asks to press action to update it means press trackball center or power key quickly.
7. it will take <10 minutes to boot the first time
8. go through the google setup wizard as usual and ENJOY

depending on your internet speed and the hosting site you picked. its not that big of a file(108 mb) so it shouldnt take long

downloaded file and put sd card in my laptop but i cannot find the root in my sd card do you know where it is at?
