Re: Where can I buy a new (non-red) back battery cover?
dying the back is incredibly easy. just go to your local wal-mart, and pick up the laundry dye they have (can't remember the brand name). fill up something round and relatively tall with warm water(ie a bucket, but unless its metal, make sure its something you don't mind getting black or whatever color you choose). then throw your back cover right in there , no masking or prep needed, of course actually throwing it in is optional. I wouldn't recommend it if you like your counter tops though. after a few hours take it out and check it. when its done set it on a towel or napkin and let dry. final step... replace cover, enjoy, and thank

I bought a Alltel bettery door on ebay that fits perfect on the Sprint Touch Diamond. Its grey in color. You can even get the grey stylus to go with it.

Re: Where can I buy a new (non-red) back battery cover?
The sharpie method actually works real good, but there is a secrete on how to do it to make it even. and adding a zagg invisible shield gives it a black glass look.
the secrete is in layers (i did i think 5) but between the layers you need to wipe (more of a buffing) the residue from the sharpie off(using a regular ruff cloth not a very soft one) which leaves the dye only, not the uneven ghetto sharpie look. don't hold the back with your hands the same cloth is a good idea. also not a good idea to sharpie the red ring(usb port) or your stylus. it only takes about 20 mins.

i would also use some rubbing alcohol and clean the front and back of the thing and then let it dry for an hour and then dye it..... or your could take it to a body shop and have them paint it! that could be fun, just find a paint color they have extra of. |
