Re: New Diamond Maintenance Update: WTF?

New problem: When I'm texting someone and leave the text open, after I close the text it still says I have like 3 or 4 new texts, but I don't because the text was open and I got them right then, this never happened with the old version.

So frustrating, I see me getting rid of this phone soon.

The previous rom did that too me. You have to scroll through the conversation so they get highlighted, or 'read' if you will. It's a real pain. My Vogue was 100 times better than the diamond. i dont know why they didnt just update the screen and ad wifi to the original Touch.

My Mogul had less problems than this thing, it was slow, but after the update that came out last summer with the GPS I loved it. Foolish me for thinking this one would operate better.

Re: New Diamond Maintenance Update: WTF?

I've been using Indagroove's 6.5 ROMs and very are stable and have less issues than the stock rom. Plus it looks nicer and is much faster than the stock.

I recommend those. Titanium gets some getting used to, but I find it much better than Manila/touchflo3d.

I just re-read that entire thread, did not find a fix for the problem. Does Fingerkeyboard fix it? I'll give that a try for sure.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion, do you have any feedback on the "Mighty" ROM? Seems to be one of the more popular ones around here.

I used Mighty ages ago, and I thought his ROM was good but overrated. Also he doesn't update his Diamond Rom as often as other chefs do (he owns a Touch Pro so he focuses on that).

6.5 has matured to the point where it is clearly better than 6.1 in every way. People who don't like Titanium can also de-activate it and use the manila they like best.

6.5 benefits:
Speed and Performance
Better overall scrolling
Battery life is much better
Memory management
Looks. Menus and such are nicer
New drivers

I honestly can't think where 6.1 is better than 6.5.

I recommend starting with either SimpleRom or Ultralite Rom. Both are 6.5 with the basics installed. Once you get used to either of those, you can install other Roms that have more apps installed. Crawl, walk, run.

Awesome post and great recommendations, I will do my research tonight on both of these ROMs and the overall process for flashing.
