Has anyone ordered the new diamond?

They just want you to have to upgrade, within a year or less, it's that way with all of the carriers.
Look at the "no sd" slot for sprint.
I mean comon, they have sd's on the predicessors yet they disable it with the phone that finnally has everything else right , now on Verizon they add the sd clot in and axe the memory......what a stupid game...so now everyone has a reason to upgrade again.

no thats not true at all the vzw touch pro is the best phone ive ever had
they are great phones just a little less ram. and the less ram on the touch pro hasnt made a difference like i thought it would

I've had mine for a few days and I really like it. I'm coming from a verizonized sprint touch diamond with a ppckitchen rom, and to me it is a significant upgrade. I actually find it much faster than the sprint, and also more stable. As a disclaimer, I will say that I don't like TF3D and don't run it. But I cannot tell any difference with less memory. Compared to the sprint, the screen is a little bigger which is nice, but I think the colors are a little less vibrant. It is very nice to have the sd card back, and the black faceted back is a huge improvement over that maroon sprint color. Once verizon or someone else unlocks the gps, I'll be totally satisfied with it.

I was looking forward to the Touch Diamond 2, especially for the larger screen... Apparently it's exactly the same physical size of the screen horizontaly as the original Diamond, it's only taller (vertical) thanks to the added pixels. I wish the Diamond had the same large screen as the Touch Pro will have...

They will but 6.5 takes more resources....... The extra memory will be a big deal if you want to stay current. I ahve devved ROM's for the VZW Pro since it was out.... 6.1 is fine but 6.5 gets a little ugly.

agreed, to stay current this phone will nto do it. For those just looking to use thephone the way it comes.... Good deal. For those looking to mod the phone... Get the sprint diamond.

Have you tried the bored GPS fix for the Pro? I bet $100 it will work?
