So, riddle me this Batman....what is in the Custom Roms (Juicy, Mighty, etc) that is not in the Stock Roms?

Could it be a different sys/xip that allows for call recording to work correctly?

Could it be something that is "locked" in a Stock Rom that causes call recording to fail?

Will this work with this:
Alltel Stock Rom on HTC Touch Pro
WM 6.1 Pro
CE OS 5.2.19972 (Build 19972.1.2.7)

I cannot give the right answer on this, because I haven't seen anyone test this on an Alltel Stock Rom yet.

Based on what is happening to others using Stock Roms (Sprint, US cellular) I would imagine that after you install it, it won't work.

Please give it a shot and let us know.

Thanks for all the hard work, but we kinda already know that WM 6.5 doesn't allow 2 sided recording, and we know that custom 6.1 Roms do. Question is do any of the Stock Roms allow for 2 way call recording.

Actually I did get the internal ICR working on JuicyRom7, which is WM6.5, but it was still with the stuttering issue that I've not been able to solve

Hmm, you were able to get 2 way calling to work without using the speakerphone?

Yes, but for some reason I still can't shake the stuttering/distortion issue, follows me to every rom.

It seems sporadic. It only happens about 35-45% of the time, even durin the same recordings. Can't figure out what the cause is

I wonder if its actually your phone? I haven't had that issue on any Rom. I'm going to give Juicy 7 a shot and post my results, thanks for the info!

What phone d you have? I'm using a CDMA(US CELLULAR) Touch Pro. I have seen people who were on another carrier say that this stuttering issue was only solved via an official ROM upgrade.. but I've tried tons of cooked roms and different radios.. I still have the problem.. not sure what my phone could be missing??? I've read others using teh same phone but on Sprint, have success.... so it should be possible with my hardware..
