And the best part is that you can record both sides CLEARLY without using the speakerphone!

Re: ***UPDATED: CDMA/GSM HTC Diamond/Pro: Call Recording (3/25)

K i uninstalled and still nothing.
So I figure I'm an idiot at this point because I neglected to back up my wavedev.dll, ICR_BEEP.wav, ICR_BEEPBEEP.wav, and voAMRNBENC.dll.
if anyone has originals if you could send them my way i would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Umm, you would only need the backup of wavedev.dll. (Don't have it, sorry) The others, you can leave.

I attached the wavdev.dll from the Sprint Oem ROM.

Definitely appears that using this dll file only works on Custom ROMs that are NOT based on the Sprint OEM

Special thanks to: XDA in general, monx, indagroove, Calcu, Slypher

If you are a CDMA user, you have one extra step (step 3). GSM users should not do this step (it will mess you up!)

Requirements: Slide To Answer PhoneCanvas for your network type (CDMA S2A for CDMA users, GSM S2A for GSM users).

1) Install the CAB file, "InCallRecording_repacked_monx.cab".

2) Copy everything in the "Copy to Windows" directory into your phone's \Windows directory. Overwrite everything. You will probably need to use Total Commander or similar file manager in order to copy these files.
The files are: ICR_BEEP.wav, ICR_BEEPBEEP.wav, and voAMRNBENC.dll.

CDMA ONLY: 3) Copy wavedev.dll from the "CDMA DLL" folder into your \Windows directory (using Total Commander) Backup wavedev.dll first!

4) Soft reset.

5) Open your new program, "In Call Recorder". Go to options, set Audio Format -> WAV, Store Location -> Card.

6) Start a call. Once the call is connected, hit your right menu softkey and at the very bottom it should show you an option to Start Recording. Call has to be connected (timer must be going) for this not to be greyed out.

7) Files are stored in Storage Card\Recording or Internal Storage\Recording as WAV files. You can also listen to them in Programs > In Call Recorder.

I have it working on: MightyROM 4.8 Diamond, however another user posted and said his is not working...

PREINSTALLED ON:
GrooveROM 4 Diamond

---------
IF ALL ELSE FAILS: Try someone else's solution
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=58327

IT FINALLY WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I don't think that the ICR cab has anything to do with it cuz it stores the files as WAV files in my \MY DOCUMENTS\NOTES folder and it ALWAYS stores them as WAV and on my DEVICE, reGARDLESS of what I have ICR setup for. Oh, and one more thing.. the sound is BLAIRING!!! I think I read a fix for that somewhere.. I will have to search for it. Anyhow I'm convinced that the trick here is the CDMA dll!!! WOOT!!!!!!!!!!! I have honestly tried like 8 different methods and flashed different ROMS and am so excited that this finally actually works! I'm currenlty on Mighty Rom 4.16 but I may flash back to Stock just to be sure that it is or is NOT a dll issue.

EDIT --- Solution Found ----

LOL... I just figured out my problem with the InCallRecorder tweak... I had my phones in call Volume turned all the way up.. Thats what caused the garbled sound.. I turned the Volume down and now its clear as day...

HELP!! I am having this same problem, but I don't see any option for volume control in the ICR app?! What do I need to do to fix this? I am SO STOKED this finally works though!!!!

Good luck with that, and let us know your results. I don't think anyone has got it working yet on a Sprint Stock ROM.

Weird, but when I try this with the USCC stock ROM, I get a message saying that there is not enough memory available to start the recording... weird. Probably something other than the wavedev.dll. Wish we could crack this!
