CDMA Diamond windshield mount

Hey i like my toys, what can i say. I got rid on my homebrew media center PC, so i had the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse just sitting around doing nothing. If i travel to another center in our company, i just suction the holder to the desk i am at and go to work. The only thing i need on this phone is to be able to plug in to a network cable, (like a laptop can do) but there are only a handful of phones that do that right now. If the diamond had USB host support, i would already have this working.

as for heating and bending, yeah, that is all you do. I put tape over the corners on my diamond before putting it under the hot plastic so it wouldn't get wrecked, and then i formed the plastic to fit the diamond.

The clip that goes on the top is the hard part though, as there is not much plastic there to stretch out. Once it breaks i will try and figure out something better to use.

I had a bad experience with windshield mount in the past with my Garmin GPS.

For my Diadmond, I bought a cheap air vent mount http://www.daydeal.com/product.php?p...=9359&cat=3571
Work great so far. Hopefully it is durable.

well i'll share what i ended up doing. i bought an arkon clamp vent mount. combined with some double sided tape it works pretty well

I bought two of the SM220 Arkon's, one for my phone and one for the GF's phone. Works great.
