Re: Charging issue with new diamond
Been a diamond user for about two months, and just started to listen to streaming radio again at work. I'm pretty sure this wasn't a problem with my old Q when streaming. I can't believe it would actually lose power when plugged in. Why wouldn't it just bypass the battery and use the power from the adapter if it was getting too hot? Anybody find a solution to this problem?

Re: Charging issue with new diamond
It appears that if I start streaming after the phone becomes fully charged, it will not drain the battery. I can tell because it doesn't get as hot.
So, I don't see why it can't do it when the battery is not fully charged to begin with. It just needs to dedicate most of the power to operating the phone and whatever is left to charge the battery. Instead it must be letting the battery operate the phone, and then lets the adapter charge the battery as long as it doesn't get too hot. Once it gets too hot, it stops charging. Seems like this could be fixed with a software update. |

Re: Charging issue with new diamond
On top of keeping the display off while streaming, you can also take off the back cover to help keep the phone from overheating (wont charge when it's too hot).
