Re: What are YOU using? Shield? OEM Screen Protector? Bestskins?! LET YOUR VOICE BE H

i have a boxwave anti-glare. the oem one was too slick for the stylus and left too many fingerprints, which drove me nuts. it's helped a lot on the fingerprint issue and is less slick. i prefer the invisible shield i had on my mogul, but i'm not paying full price for one.

Installed the anti-glare one and it did look like crap. I've used anti-glare on my mogul and touch before, never looked like this before. The screen looks grainy although it's still fingerprint free etc. Anyone got the same thing?

Re: What are YOU using? Shield? OEM Screen Protector? Bestskins?! LET YOUR VOICE BE H

I'm using the oem protector. Fits perfectly and hard to see it's even there. The corner lifted though, when putting it in the case, so I'm trying to find as close a replacement as possible. Tried the Monaco brand, I don't like the anti-glare. Have tried the universal type that has a grid and you have to cut to fit - not as smooth as the oem and can't get the cutout right for the speaker. Has anyone tried the Boxwave crystal for the sprint touch diamond?

I don't use a protector, but within the first week or two of using my phone it got 2 mysterious scratches on it...nothing since then. Will the scratches mess up any protector I put on it?

Re: What are YOU using? Shield? OEM Screen Protector? Bestskins?! LET YOUR VOICE BE H

Ok guys, ultimate pro tip.

I have a full body invisible shield on my Diamond. Great protection, but the tacky screen is hard to use with your fingers and impossible to use with the stylus.

**Put the OEM smooth screen protector on over the invisible shield sheet**

The sensitivity is fine. I can scroll smoothly just like the OEM protector alone. Jack up the sensitivity if you think you need too. Clarity is perfect, too: you don't notice that there's two on there.

Why both? I had just the OEM protector on my Vogue, and dropped it on the ground. It landed screen down, and while the protector took the brunt of the damage (thankfully), there were a couple of very minor scratches that made it through to the screen. If I'd had the IS on, it would have saved it completely. Also, as has been said, the OEM protector has a nasty habit of getting snagged and coming loose on a corner (happened to me as well): the IS will keep it from getting scratched before you notice this has happened.
