I said on one of my replies that you need access to the exchange server. Once you get it fixed your in for a real treat. No need to backup contacts when your flashing a rom a day. As soon as you syn they are right back on your phone :P Why dont your exchange admin help you set it up? |

Re: Exchange Error 0x8501004 Any ideas?
Oh...............
Well, not sure if WinMo has a program like the BlackBerry desktop redirector that would be the ticket for you. Or You could ask your Exchange admin to forward a copy of your emails to a POP email then set that POP up on your phone. But, you better bring your Exchange admin presents before asking him/her to forward your emails. Then you could just sync your contacts and everything else to your computer not Exchange and POP your emails. : ) |

Re: Exchange Error 0x8501004 Any ideas?
I have just corrected this problem on our server. Not saying for sure, but here is what your problem is. Your certificate is issued from an Intermediate Certification Authorities. Ours was Go Daddy. You will need to install on your exchange server that active sync is syncing with, the intermediary root certificates and then perform an iisreset. Here is the go daddy link explaining this process with their certificate package link on the page.
http://help.godaddy.com/article/4875 if your certificate is not from godaddy then look in the help or Faq on their web site for something similar. Hope this helps. |

Re: Exchange Error 0x8501004 Any ideas?
I have had this same issue since I upgraded my Mogul to WM 6.1. However, I am able to sync email only by un checking contacts, calendar, and task. I started syncing those three things direct connect to my PC. This may give you your email. Give it a try and let me know.

Re: Exchange Error 0x8501004 Any ideas?
had this issue over the weekend when we switched to exchange 07, make sure you're using ssl and you have the root cert from go daddy, and also from your exchange server. you can get it by right clicking and selecting properties from your servers webmail access page.
i'll post the links i found tomorrow from work if you haven't figured it out |
