I have been using this cab this morning and I think the Diamond should have come stock with this keyboard... I feel no difference in typing and I have no missed keys issues. I do not have small fingers and I also type while driving. It may take some getting used to for some but for me it was an instantaneous upgrade.

Thanks snovvman for this much needed upgrade as I type and text all the time.

it says the character count at the top of the start menu while you type on the diamond... cause you can only send like 160 or whatever characters at a time.

and yeah, i have big hands, so its difficult to use anything smaller than the phonepad for text entry. thats why i didn't bother getting the touch pro, i just didn't want to have to deal with such small keys.

i tried it today and found that when you select the .,123 button, the first page with numbers and symbols is missing. Anyone else run across this?

I looked on mine, and it's not missing. I'm using the same cab. By .,123, I presume you invoked it from "Full QWERTY"?

When I press .,123, I see:

1234567890
.,?!'():;"
/-$&@#~%[backspace]
[<1/9>][space][abc][enter]

I stepped through all 9 pages and they are all there. I also compared the modified keyboard w/ my unmodified Diamond, and they appear the same.

Perhaps uninstall and reinstall?

Diamond/WM6.x will concatenate more than 160 characters limited by SMS standards, and send as two messages. For some recepients, they get confused. It's just nice to see how many character is remaining on the current msg.

By "top of the start menu", I presume you mean the task bar? My Sprint CDMA Diamond does not display character remaining there...

I agree completely. I keep going over because i cant see how many characters i have remaining.

yeah, i'm using Full QWERTY but i only have 8 pages to choose from. i reinstalled and still the same. weird...
