The .cab, once installed, replaces the ezinput.dll file and buch of keyboard skin files. There are no registry changes or mapping (.txt files) changes. I presume that when the .cab is uninstalled, you get the page back? I'm trying to figure out where the problem might be. It's possible that you have an older version of some resource file? I will look around a bit.

yeah, i uninstall and get the page back. i'm running juicy's rom 2.4, if that matters.

It appears that Juicy's ROM uses another version of keyboard skin. If you're interested, there are more files as part of this package I can provide that will likely resolve your issue. Let me know if you're interested. For now, I will edit the original post to warn others.

Just noticed this, but when you are replying to a message in threaded view, the 0/160 character count is in the top left of the screen. It's only when you start a brand new message without threaded old texts that the count is hidden.

I do not, but I thought someone else has already cab'ed the Diamond OE keyboard? I likely won't be able to get to it until sometime in December, but I might just look at what it takes to cab the OE keyboard as someone else PM'd me asking for the same.

Correct. I don't use threaded view and not being able to see the count was annoying me...

it would be much appreciated as the small keys do not do well for t9 and unfortunately it looks like all the rom cookers have gone with the slim keyboard. the only ones i can find are "diamond like" cabs from xda that everyone was using on the touch
